Just for fun I recorded a message to put onto my answerphone. It’s a parody of Abba’s “Dancing Queen” and is called “Answer Machine”. I’ve double tracked the vocals so that it sounds like there’s a whole group of me singing.

Hi there and welcome to my blog.

I live in the Midlands area of the UK and my hobby is playing the ukulele. It has given me so much pleasure, enjoyment and fun that I’d like to share my adventures with you. I’ll also include some stories about joining a group and performing in concerts.

A few years ago I noticed that there are many songs with American place names but there are fewer songs about places in the UK. So, I’ve been writing parodies of well-known songs but also giving them a local Stoke-on-Trent twist. I’ve also produced videos for each of these songs which can be viewed on YouTube. You can also listen to my songs on the various streaming services. I hope you enjoy watching the videos and/or listening to the songs.
